Frontal. Sphenoid. Ethmoid. Parietal (x2). Temporal (x2). Occipital. These are the eight bones of the human skull. Its parts, so to speak. Parts of the human "machine." More importantly, they enclose the single most important part of that "machine": The brain. Another machine, but we'll leave the quotation marks out because the human brain is a machine.

This skull features clock gears; the inner workings of another machine. A brain and a clock gears share a particular commonality. They keep their respective machines operating.

Sometimes, programmers talk about GIGO: Garbage In, Garbage Out, meaning that a computer only knows what it's told, and if it's told something false, the result is garbage. The same can, in some cases, be said of clocks and brains. If you have a broken clock gear, the clock is inaccurate. If the brain receives bad information, it might become insane.
