Cube (2.5") Vintage Clock Gears

Kick back and imagine for a moment the number of cubes that have come to prominence over the years in American pop culture. A short list would include: the Borg Cube (from Star Trek), Lemarchand’s Box (from the Hellraiser series), the Pandorica (from Doctor Who), the Tesseract (from numerous Marvel movies), and, of course, Rubik’s Cube, the puzzle box which took the world by storm in the 1980s and remains popular today.

Perhaps we can add this cube to the list. It is filled with clock gears but is otherwise almost completely translucent. Time cannot be contained, but this is a cube containing the measuring devices of time. It is time in a box, and through it we can travel via memory into the past and dispatch our hopes and desires into the future.
